Great range of foods: fresh local produce, bakery, fish, great meats, high quality brand names-they have it all - staff is patient, polite, professional.
The place is convenient and the people who work there are very nice. But buying vegetables is a gamble at best. Virtually every time I go shopping there, I have to throw away at least 10% of the vegetables within a day or two. The problem is they are willing to leave things on the shelf until they are WAY past their prime, and mix the new vegetables in with the bad without cleaning out the bins or rotating stock, so the new vegetables become inoculated with bacteria from the bins. The worst part about it is that Mr. McQuade refuses to give credit for bad produce. After giving them like 20 chances, I can no longer shop there for vegetables. Stop and Shop and Walmart have MUCH fresher produce which is cheaper.
They make their own products breads ,lunch meats ,ECT anything you need that you can't find anywhere else you will find there.they really go above and beyond to help ther customer
Benn going there for over 30 years. It's a great store.
I feel deprived when I stay in the car with the dog, and my wife gets to shop...a terrific atmosphere even for me, and I don't enjoy shopping ...

Great local grocery store. Convenient location next to downtown Westerly. They may not have the variety of the big stores. But always have fresh produce Meat and Deli products. Also have a florist that has a nice selection of flowers. Washington Trust Bank is also located there. Which is convenient. They have great salads and soups at the salad bar.
